DRAMATURGY

I have experience with production dramaturgy, new play dramaturgy, and dramaturgy in translation. I am most passionate about new work development. My dramaturgical approach defines audience engagement as an extension of the theatrical experience; I prioritize curation of opportunities for artistic and emotional connection beyond theater walls. I most enjoy works that employ non-conventional, boundary-pushing structural techniques and intentionally crafted language. My favorite plays are puzzles.

Carnegie Mellon University Press New Play Contest
In Spring of 2025, I helped launch the Carnegie Mellon University Literary Press's inaugural New Play Contest. I served as one of seven selection committee readers, reviewing over 115 submissions and synthesizing into a shortlist. Three plays were ultimately recommended for publication, and I collaborated on pitch decks detailing our recommendations to the editorial board. I also had the opportunity to meet with industry professionals and learn more about literary publishing.
